Job description

We are recruiting for an Accounting Technician.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of MTD quarterly returns.
• Assisting with preparation of payroll and CIS returns.
• Preparation of UK and Irish VAT Returns.
• Assisting with preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience using Sage.
• Knowledge of VAT, payroll and CIS return preparation.

Desirable Skills

• Accounting Technician qualified or part-qualified with suitable experience.

We are a successful firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Newry and we are seeking an Accounting Technician (full-time or part-time) with general practice experience to join our team. The successful applicant should be motivated and self-driven, they should have excellent people skills and the ability to prioritise and manage their time appropriately. Ideally the successful candidate should have 2 years' experience in general practice.
