As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer within our Flexibles Manufacturing team, you will implement engineering concepts, manage technical aspects of manufacturing, and develop both new and existing product lines. You will support high‑quality, cost‑effective production while reducing environmental impact, and champion continuous improvement through lean methodologies. This hands‑on role involves close collaboration with shop‑floor staff, engineering, and manufacturing groups, with clear pathways for career progression and personal development.

  • Develop and maintain offline CNC programs using Edgecam to support turning, milling and horizontal boring operations.

  • Develop, evaluate and improve machining methods, tooling and manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality and production performance.
  • Monitor machining performance and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve workshop efficiency.
  • Evaluate and introduce appropriate developments in machining technology, tooling and manufacturing methods.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and standardized manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and other relevant teams to support efficient production and resolve technical issues.
  • Identify and escalate technical or manufacturing risks early, supporting effective resolution and continuity of production.

Must-Have

  • Experience using CAD/CAM programming software within a CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent relevant engineering/manufacturing qualification.
  • Ability to understand machining processes, manufacturing methods, tooling and relevant engineering information.
  • Ability to work independently on technical activities while collaborating effectively with manufacturing and shop-floor teams.
  • Willingness and ability to work the required rotating shift pattern of two weeks on days followed by one week on nights.

Preferred

  • Experience using Edgecam for offline CNC programming.
  • Experience with current machining tooling, technologies and manufacturing methods.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with job-costing analysis.
  • Experience with Flexible Pipe End Fittings or a comparable manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
