We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Band 7 Radiology Team Lead to join our Radiology Department in CT. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic CT radiographer to provide professional, clinical, and operational leadership within a busy CT service. As the CT Team Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the CT department, ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality imaging service. You will lead a team of radiographers promoting excellence in patient care, service improvement, workforce development, and clinical governance. Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead the CT team in the delivery of diagnostic and specialist CT examinations across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and cancer pathways. They will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day management of the service, supporting staff development, maintaining quality and governance standards, and driving service improvement initiatives. Perform and supervise a wide range of CT examinations, including complex and contrast-enhanced procedures. Ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images and maintain excellent standards of patient care. Promote radiation safety and dose optimisation in compliance with IR(ME)R and IRR17 regulations. Manage the day-to-day operational running of the CT service, ensuring appropriate staffing and service provision. Coordinate staff rotas and workforce deployment to meet service demands Ensure effective utilisation of CT resources to maximise efficiency and patient throughput Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service redesign projects Ensure adherence to Trust policies, professional standards, and statutory regulations. Lead on clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management activities within CT Support the education, training, and competency assessment of radiographers, assistant practitioners, apprentices, and students Develop effective working relationships with Radiologists, clinicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams Person Specification

- To be responsible for the day to day supervision, leadership and workflow of the CT service.
- Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist CT service providing training, advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
- Responsible for the team leadership of the CT service with responsibility for organising workload and staffing in that area.
- Ensure operational standards are met to ensure a safe and effective service delivery.
- Demonstrate effective communication with modality leads to ensure staffing levels are managed appropriately.
- Responsible for leading the on-going service development of clinical practice and standards of care, including development and review of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, radiation safety, governance, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional diagnostic services
