SEN Teacher – SEN School, Middlesbrough
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary with the Potential to go Permanent
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Pay £130 to £276.07 per day

CER Education is recruiting a Teacher to work at a school in Middlesbrough, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role is initially temporary but has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be comfortable managing challenging behaviour and will be working with children with a variety of additional needs. The school is an alternative provision for students with special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
What the role involves:
- Teaching pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH
- Confidently managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour within the classroom
- Adapting lessons and approaches to suit individual pupils’ needs
- Working as part of a small alternative provision setting, supporting pupils’ wider development

- A qualified teacher, ideally with experience or a willingness to work with children with SEN
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- A compassionate, flexible approach to supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs
