Grove Road School is excited to offer the opportunity for the right candidate to join our school. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that will involve working with class teachers, the SENCO and other support staff to facilitate the teaching and learning of pupils.
As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with students requiring individual support due to complex needs. You will play a key role in enabling access to learning, supporting communication and promoting independence and well- being.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Provide one-to-one support for children with Special Education Needs.
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support the implementation of Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
