A sixth form academy in Cambridge is seeking a part-time English and Media Studies Teacher for a temporary appointment. The successful candidate will deliver academically challenging lessons and support students preparing for further study.
The Role
Senior English Teaching: Deliver GCSE English and A-Level English where appropriate.
Media Studies: Teach representation, media language, audiences and industry.
Critical Analysis: Develop students’ ability to evaluate texts and media products.
Examination Preparation: Support students with analytical essays and coursework.
Academic Enrichment: Encourage independent reading, research and media projects.
The Candidate
Academic Background: A degree in English, Media Studies, Communications or a related field.
Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of English and media curricula.
Analytical Ability: Excellent written and critical-thinking skills.
Teaching Style: Engaging, organised and academically rigorous.
Flexibility: Comfortable teaching across different year groups.
