Do you have experience supporting young adults or people who have experienced homelessness? Are you looking for a new challenge? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Central Recruitment is currently working with a London-based charity that is dedicated to creating positive change by providing support to individuals on their journey towards independence. Our client is currently recruiting for a Support Worker, to work in the Crystal Palace area at a service providing support to various client groups including young people with a background of homelessness, challenging behaviour and teenage parents. £16.90 per hour (£15.08 per hour, with £1.82 holiday pay)37.5 hours per week
️Monday - Sunday (rota basis)
Shifts: 7AM - 3PM and 2PM - 10PM
Location: Crystal Palace
Temporary: approx. 3 months (possibility of extension) This is a fantastic opportunity to support vulnerable young people on their path to independence. What we’re looking for:
✔️ Experience supporting young adults or people who have experienced homelessness
✔️Understanding of safeguarding principles and their practical application
✔️Knowledge of homelessness support services, including welfare benefits
✔️Ability to maintain accurate records using databases and IT systems
✔️Strong written and verbal communication skills
✔️Ability to use basic coaching and counselling techniques to support customers
