Midday Supervisor / SEN TA

Hours: 11 30
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently looking for a caring and reliable Midday Supervisor / SEN TA to join a supportive primary school in Havering .
This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident providing 1:1 support during lunchtime . You will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, complex needs, and speech and language delays .
The successful Midday Supervisor / SEN TA will help ensure pupils are safe, supported and engaged during lunchtime, while providing individualised support based on their needs.
The Role
As a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA , you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils during lunchtime.
- Support pupils with ASD, complex needs and speech and language delays .
- Help pupils manage social interactions and communication during lunchtime.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Encourage independence and positive relationships with peers.
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground areas.
- Ensure pupils remain safe and supported throughout lunchtime.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
- Follow individual support strategies and school procedures.
About You
The school is looking for a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA who:
- Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEN setting.
- Has experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs or communication difficulties .
- Is patient, caring and approachable.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils.
- Is confident providing 1:1 support.
- Can remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging situations.
- Is reliable and available for an immediate start.
- Works well as part of a wider school team.
