About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Blue Prism Developers to work with our global systems integrator client, supporting a number of high-profile business transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that enhance operational efficiency, streamline business processes, and enable digital transformation across complex service environments.

This is initially a 4-month assignment starting as soon as possible, with a predominantly remote, UK-based working arrangement and occasional travel to client sites in Bristol, Blackpool, or a client office location for workshops and project activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Blue Prism professional who enjoys hands-on delivery, working within multidisciplinary teams, and developing enterprise-scale automation solutions that deliver measurable business value.

All candidates must hold or be eligible to undergo SC clearance prior to starting in the role.

About the Role

We are seeking a Blue Prism Developer to design, build, test, and support intelligent automation solutions across multiple transformation projects. You will work closely with Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product stakeholders, and operational teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver robust RPA solutions that improve business performance.

The role is delivery-focused, supporting the implementation of automation technologies to enhance user experience, reduce manual effort, and improve operational outcomes. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable Blue Prism solutions while ensuring adherence to technical, security, and governance standards.

You will form part of a blended delivery team working alongside client and consultancy stakeholders to deliver automation capabilities across a dynamic programme environment.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Blue Prism automation solutions
• Translating business requirements and process designs into scalable RPA implementations
• Building reusable automation components and process objects
• Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing activities
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues within existing automation solutions
• Collaborating with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify and refine automation opportunities
• Supporting automation deployments and production releases
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation and development artefacts
• Ensuring solutions adhere to governance, security, and quality standards
• Providing progress updates and delivering development activities within agreed timelines

About You

• Proven experience developing automation solutions using Blue Prism
• Strong understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) principles and best practices
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying Blue Prism processes and objects
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective automation solutions
• Experience integrating Blue Prism with enterprise applications and business systems
• Knowledge of automation governance, security, and operational support requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Self-directed and delivery-focused, able to manage workload independently

Nice to Have

• Blue Prism Developer or Professional Developer certification
• Experience delivering automation within large-scale transformation programmes
• Familiarity with process analysis and process improvement methodologies
• Experience integrating RPA solutions with Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of intelligent automation capabilities such as OCR, AI, or machine learning technologies
• Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects, business analysts, and product stakeholders
