This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is looking for more than just a classroom-based role. The successful candidate will take on a key role within the Art department, using their experience and subject knowledge to help support the wider team and contribute to the continued development of the department. The school is a large, welcoming secondary school with high expectations for both staff and students. The Art department is looking for someone confident, creative and committed to delivering an engaging curriculum that allows students to develop their skills and passion for the subject. About the Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Art lessons across the secondary age range, while also taking a more senior role within the department. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging and creative Art lessonsSupporting students to develop their practical and theoretical Art skillsTaking a leading role within the departmentContributing to curriculum planning and departmental developmentSupporting colleagues and sharing your experience and ideasMaintaining high standards of behaviour, progress and achievementTracking student progress and adapting teaching accordinglyContributing positively to the wider school community What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Art Teachers who are confident working within a secondary school environment and are ready to take on additional responsibility. The ideal candidate will have: QTS or an equivalent teaching qualificationStrong experience teaching Art at secondary levelExcellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for ArtStrong classroom and behaviour management skillsExperience of taking responsibility within a department would be advantageousThe confidence to support and work alongside other members of the departmentA creative and enthusiastic approach to teachingHigh expectations of student achievement and behaviourA commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing Why Protocol Education?
