Our client is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Business Teacher to join a high-performing secondary college offering education from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 . The successful teacher will deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across GCSE and A-Level , working closely within a forward-thinking department led by an experienced and supportive Head of Business & Economics . This 11–18 secondary college is consistently oversubscribed, with over 1,200 students on roll and an outstanding reputation across the West Midlands . The school offers a broad and academically rigorous curriculum, with exceptional provision in Business and Economics . Business Studies is one of the most popular A-Level subjects, with strong student outcomes and excellent progression to university courses in Business, Finance, and Management .
The department benefits from modern, well-equipped classrooms and access to digital learning platforms that enhance commercial awareness and analytical thinking. Staff work collaboratively to develop stimulating lessons, and students are encouraged to apply their learning through enterprise projects, competitions, and enrichment activities such as guest lectures and business workshops.
In 2023 , 85% of students achieved grades 9–4 in English and 83% in Maths , reflecting the school’s academic strength and high standards. With a supportive leadership team and a focus on both personal development and academic excellence, the college provides a nurturing yet ambitious environment for staff and students alike.
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified Business Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Business across KS4–KS5
• Enthusiastic, engaging, and committed to outstanding teaching and learning
• A formal teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or equivalent
• Legal right to work in the UK
