Clearly Education is looking for a SEN TA for a lovely primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, to support a SEN pupil on a one to one basis.
Applicants do not need formal qualifications or SEN TA experience, but they must posses experience working with, or looking after, a child/children with additional needs. Applicants must also have a good understanding of special educational needs and disabilities.
Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities
– Work closely with, and provide support to a child with SEN
– Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
– Communicate effectively with staff and other team members
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant role:
– Experience working with, or looking after, a SEN child or children
– Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is beneficial
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children to learn and grow
