Deputy Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover)
Salary: Up to £41,600
This welcoming and thoughtfully designed nursery is dedicated to helping toddlers and pre-school children grow into confident, capable learners. With a Good Ofsted rating and a strong focus on school readiness, the setting combines high-quality care with engaging learning experiences that encourage children to thrive.
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play an integral role in supporting the team, maintaining excellent standards, and helping children achieve their full potential.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – essential
- Previous senior experience within a nursery setting – essential
- Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A child-centred approach with a passion for supporting development and school readiness
- Ability to motivate and support a team to maintain high standards

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional care and education
- Ensuring high standards are maintained in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Supporting children's development, confidence, and school readiness
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Supporting staff development and promoting best practice across the setting
- Maintaining safeguarding, health & safety, and operational standards
