We are proud that our summer centres run from 4 to 6 weeks per annum, our students, who are under the age of 18*, come from all over the world, typically staying for 13 nights where they complete a 30-hour English Language Course along with activities on-site, half-day and full day excursions, and evening activities. Twin Summer Centres are offering residential full-board and non-residential summer contracts at 8 different UK locations; Canterbury, London Docklands, London Greenwich, London Roehampton, Nottingham, Lincoln, Gloucester, Norwich, Dublin and Eastbourne. The Activity Manager role is an exciting position at one of our fast-paced Twin Summer Centres across the UK and Ireland. You will oversee the implementation of the Activity and Excursion Programme, running from breakfast to lights out, for international students under the age of 18*. You will be fully trained and supported by our experienced Summer Centres Head Office Team, reporting to the Centre Manager on site, and leading a team of enthusiastic Activity Leaders in the day-to-day operation. You will act as the main leader on activities and excursions while instructing Activity Leaders to take supportive roles. The Activity Manager is a key role in the successful delivery of the summer programme therefore you are expected to fully engage in all excursions and activities within your weekly hour limit. The role of Activity Manager is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on managerial experience within an international setting. You will use your initiative, creativity, and organisational skills to deliver a stimulating, action-packed programme to our customers from all over the world. *Some centres may include international high school students who turn 18 before they arrive at the summer centre, there will be appropriate provision and safeguarding measures in place to accommodate them on which you will be fully trained. Responsibilities Pre-Contract:
Responsible to fully read and understand the job description and job offer before committing to the role.

Attend any training (online or in person) held by the company.

- Live on-site for the duration of the contract on a 6-day per week rotation.
- Oversee the implementation of the Activity & Excursion Programme maintaining high levels of quality in the delivery thereof.
- Leading and delivering all activities, walking tours and excursions on time and in a highly exciting and engaging manner.
- Lead a team of on-site Activity Leaders, including carrying out their induction and guiding them on all aspects of their role, operating as a pillar of guidance and support.
- Monitoring team performance through observations and feedback sessions conducted in a motivationally positive way.
- Have a thorough understanding of all Activity Plans and Walking Tours and plan/research activities or walking tours if need be.
- Ensure activity plans are fully understood by all Activity leaders.
- Ensure the activity venues are ready before the activity start time.
- Be fully responsible for all activity equipment, ensuring they are returned by Activity Leaders and any damages are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Manage the expenditure budget in line with HQ, maintaining cost effectiveness at all times.
- Fully read and understand ALL risk assessments and add any extra risks for individual students.
- Ensure all bookings and tickets are organised and match participation numbers prior to excursions.
- Liaise with coach companies and drivers on pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Keep student registers safe and bring them back after each activity or excursion.
- Actively promote the Activity & Excursion Programme maintaining and ensuring the inclusion and participation of all students.
- Liaise and regularly meet with Group Leaders on Activity & Excursion plans taking their views into consideration, treating them with respect and high levels of customer service at all times.
- Meet and collaborate with Host Institution staff on all facilities use and hire, maintaining a flexible approach, always positively representing the company and its values in a professional manner.
- Promote the use of English amongst students at all times.
- Maintain and promote positive student behaviour while maintaining a professional manner at all times.
- Wearing the Twin uniform at all times whilst on duty and actively ensuring all students and staff are wearing lanyards at all times.
- Dress appropriately at ALL times.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Comply with health and safety at all times.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the company.
- Maintain a good name and reputation of Twin at all times. Post Contract:
- Complete appraisals and end-of-contract feedback. Education/Qualification - A level or equivalent.
- Demonstrable educational level commensurate with the needs and scope of the role Skills and Experience Desirable, but not essential:
- First Aid Certificate completed within the last three years.
- Experience of working with under 18s.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Educated to degree level or currently working towards a degree in education, sports science, dance, drama, or any other related qualification.
- Safeguarding training.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to speak a second language.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Sports coaching qualifications. Please note, that having the above skills/qualifications will certainly help in securing a role, but it will not affect the salary range. Additional Information Salary:

£900 - £1,100 per week, plus accrued holiday pay of 12.07% in the UK depending on the size of the centre. Centre sizes depend on the average number of students per week: Small Centre, 100; Medium Centre, 250; Large Centre, over 250. Each week includes 1 day off.
