Paid Induction - Monday 31st August

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our client based in Bellshill .

We are looking for candidates who are available to attend a paid induction on Monday 31st August and are ready to start ongoing work thereafter.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a regular 4 on 4 off shift pattern, weekly pay and long-term ongoing work for the right candidates.

Previous experience operating MHE such as a PPT or Ride-On Pallet Truck would be advantageous but is not essential. If you do not already have this experience, you must be willing and confident to learn how to operate MHE safely, with training and support provided on site.

Due to the shift times and 03:00 finish, candidates must either drive or live locally to Bellshill.

The role will involve loading and unloading trailers, moving high volumes of pallets in and out of the warehouse, and working in a chilled environment of approximately +2°C.

This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Warehouse Operative, General Operative, Warehouse Assistant or Order Picker.

Shifts:

* 4 on 4 off
* 15:00 - 03:00
* 12-hour shifts
* Ongoing work

Pay rate:

* £14.21 per hour for the first 8 hours
* £17.05 per hour after 8 hours per shift
* £17.05 per hour for all hours worked on Fridays and Saturdays
* Weekly pay every Friday

Day-to-Day Duties:

* Loading and unloading trailers
* Moving pallets in and out of the warehouse
* Using PPT or Ride-On Pallet Truck equipment where required
* Moving high volumes of pallets throughout each shift
* Working in a chilled warehouse environment of approximately +2°C
* General warehouse duties
* Manual handling
* Keeping the work area clean, safe and organised
* Working as part of a small team
* Following all site health and safety procedures
* Working on your own initiative when required

Skills & Experience:

* Previous warehouse experience
* Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
* Previous PPT or Ride-On Pallet Truck experience is desirable but not essential
* Candidates without MHE experience must be willing and confident to learn
* Positive attitude towards training and learning new equipment
* Comfortable carrying out physical work and manual handling
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Reliable and hardworking attitude
* Ability to work well as part of a small team
* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Must have hi-vis and steel toe cap safety boots
* Comfortable working in a chilled environment
* Able to work 15:00 - 03:00 on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
* Must drive or live locally to Bellshill due to the shift times and location
* Must be available to attend the paid induction on Monday 31st August

Desirable Experience:

* Previous PPT or Ride-On Pallet Truck experience
* Previous chilled warehouse experience
* Previous experience loading and unloading trailers
* Experience moving high volumes of pallets in a warehouse environment

Training:

* Full paid site induction
* MHE training and support where required
* Ongoing support from People Solutions
