We build, renew, maintain highways, airports, railway infrastructure, and commercial, industrial and educational buildings.We are looking for a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with experience in civils and infrastructure.VolkerFitzpatrick is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE), working within the Earthworks team delivering critical rail infrastructure upgrades across the Southern region.This is a key commercial role where you will support the successful delivery of earthworks packages, ensuring robust cost management, value delivery, and strong commercial governance across complex rail projects.About youExperience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)Experience in subcontract management and cost reportingStrong analytical and negotiation skillsAbility to build relationships across multidisciplinary teamsExperience within rail, earthworks, or geotechnical projectsKnowledge of Network Rail standards and processesDegree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or commercial managementProgressing towards or already achieved RICS/ICES chartershipIf your past experience doesn't match perfectly with every requirement of the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
