Our Client is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within a large, inclusive mixed secondary school in Southend-on-Sea. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across KS3 & KS4, both in-class and through targeted small group sessions, helping them achieve their academic and personal potential.

This 11–18 comprehensive school educates approximately 1,200 pupils and continues to achieve impressive results, with 92% of students attaining grades 9–4 in English and Maths. The school is well-regarded for its inclusive ethos and commitment to providing every student with the tools and encouragement to succeed.
The support team plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of engagement and progress. Teaching Assistants are well integrated into the teaching staff, working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral leaders to create tailored support strategies for students with additional needs.
Teachers and support staff describe the environment as friendly, collaborative, and rewarding. Leadership is approachable and proactive, offering structured CPD, regular review meetings, and clear pathways for progression into HLTA, SEN Support, or teaching assistant leadership roles.
