Heritage Manager

Job description

Develop, manage and deliver the department’s strategic plans focused on the development of built, cultural and natural heritage. This will involve management of projects, procurement, contracts and budgets. Lead, develop and deliver key heritage projects on behalf of the department, from inception to completion, fostering positive economic, social and environmental benefits that champion Mid Ulster’s heritage sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and implement the department’s strategic plans focused on the development of built, cultural and natural heritage.
• Lead, develop and deliver key heritage projects on behalf of the department.
• Work to understand the needs of Council and the District to deliver a high performing, cost effective and robust heritage service that is responsive to local needs.
• To build and develop strategic relationships with a wide range of stakeholders on a local, regional, national and cross-border basis, to ensure the long-term sustainability of Mid Ulster's heritage sector.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must have a third level qualification.
• Applicants must possess a full, current driving licence which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland and a vehicle available for official business, or have access to a form of transport which enables them to meet the requirements of the post.
