Clinical or Counselling Psychologist | North London NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Complex Anxiety Disorders and Depression pathway within the newly formed Enfield Integrated Core Teams, to offer individual and group interventions. The CADD stream offers specialised therapy for complex presentations such as chronic and severe depression and anxiety disorders. Clients often present with trauma histories, personality disorder traits and may also have a dual diagnosis presentation. The Enfield Integrated Core Teams are comprised of several different care pathways (Psychosis, Personality Disorder, Complex PTSD, Complex Anxiety Disorders and Depression, 18-25 Service, Step & Thrive, Dual Diagnosis, Voluntary Services, etc). The development of the Integrated Core Teams is in response to the NHS 10-year plan to develop mental health services around the Primary Care Networks and provides new opportunities which include developing partnership working with the voluntary sector, working more closely with GP practices and developing more innovative, community based and holistic ways of working.
• Psychological assessments and psychological therapy for clients with complex emotional presentations in line with qualifications in the person specification.
• Taking a central role within the CADD pathway, both supporting and developing the efficient running of the integrated treatment programme for CADD clients.
• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
• Supervision and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychological therapist colleagues, assistant psychologists and to other staff in the team as appropriate.
• To be involved in new service developments within the area served by the Integrated Core Teams.
• Liaising with the voluntary sector, PCNs and other parts of the new transformation structure to offer specialist psychological consultation and input. North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) is committed to improving mental health care across North London to deliver excellent services to our local people. Our Five-Year Strategy:

3. We will offer great places to work, providing staff with supportive environment to deliver outstanding care. Why NLFT?
• We develop and retain our staff through leadership behaviours and managers programme and many more opportunities.
• We promote flexible working and support staff with a range of health and wellbeing initiatives.

• Excellent internal staff network
In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis. 1. To provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complexdata from a variety of sources including self-report measures, direct observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care. 2. To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems. 3. To be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, within the existing team as well as across other teams in the adult care pathway. 4. To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group. 5. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans.
