My client, a leading real estate investment trust (REIT) specialising in commercial property development, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while identifying opportunities for tax efficiency.
Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you will receive excellent insight into the wider function and gain exposure to high level, advisory projects on an ad hoc basis.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns, computations, and related documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions, including tax accounting calculations and disclosures for financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization and advising on appropriate strategies.
• Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Provide tax guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and other departments, on matters related to tax implications, structuring, and planning.
Requirements:
• ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified
• Experience within property is essential either from practice or from industry
• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, with experience in managing complex corporate tax matters.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
