Senior Internal Auditor

Responsibilities

• To plan and execute individual audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan and professional internal audit standards, under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager.
• To carry out risk-based testing, gather and analyse evidence, and identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement across audited areas.
• To prepare clear, well-structured working papers and draft audit reports, including findings, root causes and practical recommendations, for review by the Internal Audit Manager.
• To build and maintain constructive working relationships with management and staff across the group during fieldwork, communicating audit objectives and findings professionally and diplomatically.
• To follow up on agreed management actions and support the tracking of audit recommendations to completion.
• To assist the Internal Audit Manager in developing yearly Internal Audit plans.
• To keep up to date with developments in internal audit standards, risk management and the regulatory environment relevant to the group, and to apply this knowledge in audit work.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• Professional accountancy or internal audit qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or CIA), or actively working towards one.
• Minimum of 3 years' internal audit experience.
• Experience preparing audit working papers and draft reports to a professional standard.
