Creative & Design Lead

Location: Chiswick, London

Working pattern: Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office

Contract: 5 months initially, with potential to extend

Rate: 400-425 per day (Umbrella, Inside)

We are working with a leading consumer brand to recruit a Creative & Design Lead to shape the creative direction and visual identity across two established brands.

This is a hybrid role combining creative concept development, art direction and digital design . You will take briefs, develop creative ideas and define how they should come to life across social, digital, influencer, PR and wider campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts and visual routes from marketing and content briefs.
• Provide creative and art direction across social, digital, influencer and campaign activity.
• Develop and maintain visual identity guidelines, design principles, templates and toolkits.
• Ensure creative output is distinctive, consistent and of a high standard.
• Work closely with Content, Social, Influencer, Media and Brand teams, acting as the bridge between strategy and creative execution.
• Brief, guide and review work produced by internal teams, creators and external agencies.
• Identify emerging creative, social and digital trends and apply them where relevant.
• Explore AI-enabled creative and design workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Work within brand, legal and regulatory guidelines.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong creative thinking with excellent design and visual judgement .

You'll ideally have:

• Experience in a creative, art direction or design leadership role , preferably agency-side.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both concept development and visual execution .
• Experience creating brand guidelines, visual identities or design systems .
• Strong understanding of social-first and digital creative.
• Experience working across a wider 360 marketing mix.
• The ability to give clear creative direction to agencies, designers and creators.
• Experience within a regulated or highly governed consumer environment would be advantageous.
• An interest in AI and emerging creative technologies.

This is not a purely hands-on design role. We're looking for someone who can take a brief, develop the creative idea, establish the visual direction and lead others through to the final output.
