A warm and welcoming family in Richmond are seeking an experienced, child friendly Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy family home, with some after-school care for their school aged children.
Job Summary:
Our returning client is looking for a proactive and organised Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean and well presented home while confidently assisting with the children's after-school routine. This is a primarily housekeeping-focused position, making it ideal for someone who enjoys creating an organised home environment and is happy to provide additional support to the family as needed. The family live in a spacious four-level, five bedroom, four bathroom home between Richmond and Twickenham, conveniently located close to an overground station. A cleaner attends once a week to carry out a full clean, so the successful candidate will focus on the day-to-day upkeep and organisation of the home. The role is predominantly housekeeping, with responsibility for collecting the children from school, supervising them after school, and assisting with their evening routine before the parents take over. Job specification:
• Daily cleaning and tidying throughout the home
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing bed linen weekly
• Wardrobe organization
• Basic sewing repairs, including attaching name tapes
• Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children
• Maintaining a well-organised and welcoming household
• Collect the children from school (approximately a 20 minute walk; driving preferred)
• Supervise homework
• Prepare school bags and uniforms for the following day
• Serve dinner and tidy the kitchen afterwards
• Assist with bath time and the children's evening routine Candidate specification:
• Experience with a similar role
• Warm, kind and gentle with children
• Organised, efficient and takes pride in their work
• Child friendly and confident caring for school aged children
• Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
• Pet friendly
• Ideally holds a clean driving licence, although non-drivers will also be considered Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate How to apply:
