Team Manager Children’s Family Help Team
\nLocation: Weymouth, Dorset
\nPay Rate: £47.50 per hour (Umbrella)
\nHours: 37 hours per week hybrid working
\nContract Type: Interim 3 months

\nLead, Support and Inspire Social Work Practice
\nDorset Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a team of Social Workers and practitioners delivering high-quality statutory services to children, young people, and families.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Manage and develop a Children's Social Care team \n
- Provide expert safeguarding advice and oversight \n
- Deliver high-quality supervision, support, and performance management \n
- Ensure effective case management and positive outcomes for children \n
- Chair key meetings including PLO, strategy, and permanency planning meetings \n
- Work closely with partner agencies, legal services, and senior leaders \n
- Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance \n
- Support recruitment, staff development, and workforce planning \n
- Deputise for the Operational Manager when required \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration \n
- Significant post-qualified experience in Children's Social Care \n
- Previous team management or supervisory experience \n
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, CIN, CIC, and court proceedings \n
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive service improvement \n
