A forward-thinking secondary school in Braintree is seeking a Geography ECT to join its growing Humanities faculty.
Role Overview
The successful Geography ECT will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and global awareness. This role offers excellent support for ECTs, including guided lesson planning, shared resources and structured mentoring.
The School
This 11–18 school educates around 1,200 pupils and is well regarded for its strong behaviour systems, clear routines and supportive teaching culture. Geography is a popular subject, supported by specialist classrooms, digital mapping tools and a developing fieldwork programme.
ECTs benefit from a reduced teaching load, weekly mentor meetings and regular developmental feedback. Staff describe the environment as inclusive, organised and aspirational, with leadership that prioritises staff wellbeing and professional growth.
