Personal Assistant (Milngavie) - GCIL ED HK/YB.01.26

We are looking for a patient, reliable and attentive Personal Assistant to support our 17 year old son, who has cerebral palsy and complex mobility support needs. We live in Milngavie.

Your role will primarily be to support our son with his personal care needs and to participate in the leisure and social activities that he enjoys at home and in the community.

Our son loves science, reading, listening to music, using his tablet and watching YouTube and just chatting. He also enjoys going swimming.
We would like to hear from people who enjoy these activities too and would value helping our son to have fun and achieve his potential
Due to the complexity of our son’s mobility needs, this role will involve a high degree of moving and assisting support.

8 hours per week (with an additional 4 hours during the school holidays).
Rate of pay - £18.10 per hour.

Our preference is that you can work after school hours and also at weekends however we can be flexible about the days and times worked and are happy to discuss this further at interview.

Must be physically fit.
Driver with clean licence and own vehicle desirable.
PVG Scheme Membership or Scheme Update required by successful candidate.
