The ENT Head and Neck team are excited to offer the opportunity for a senior fellow to come and join the team. The role will work closely as part of a multidisciplinary to support with patients going through the 2WW diagnostic and treatment pathway, via outpatients and theatres. We are looking for a team player, with ideally experience of the head and neck cancer pathways who is looking to provide world class care to our patients. About us

On-call commitment at SpR level: Out of hours non-resident on call covering patients in ENT at University Hospital Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester 1:9. Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed fellow doctors and dentists. Successful candidates will have an educational framework equivalent to training grade doctors, and there will be a named educational supervisor assigned at the start of the post. The opportunity for Continued Professional Development (CPD) is highly supported and encouraged by the Trust, with options available to take study leave. Grades for Trust appointed fellows will be paid a basic salary at a nodal pay point linked to the grade, at the rate set out in the National Medical and Dental pay circular. Basic salary plus any additional remuneration (as applicable) for hours set out in the doctors work schedule (e.g. additional hours, weekend allowance, and any hours which attract enhanced pay) Salary will be assessed based on experience and skills. - MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Successful completion of MRCS(ENT) by offer date. (Separate DOHNS & MRCS acceptable)
- Completion of Core Surgical Training or Certificate of Readiness to Enter Higher Surgical Training signed
- Must benchmark to ENT ST3 level
- Appropriate knowledge base, and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems
- Previous experience of working in the NHS for >6 months
- Certification or instructor status in ATLS, ALS, APLS, EPLS, MIMMS
