Duties

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
• Load, secure, and unload goods using appropriate techniques, including flatbed transportation when required
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure safety and compliance
• Complete delivery documentation accurately, including delivery logs and inspection reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to ensure safety standards are met consistently

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar size trucks
• Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety procedures
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to navigate using GPS systems and plan efficient routes
• Good physical fitness for loading/unloading cargo and handling deliveries
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
