Your main responsibilities

Repairs/ Servicing/ Maintenance

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc)  

• To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning  

• Checking the lift function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment  

• Conduct the routine inspection and adjustment of lift in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift and complete service documentation  

• Carrying out more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service 

• Conduct site surveys  

Installation

• Installing lift Well and Ancillary Equipment in accordance with approved procedures

• Installing Traction Equipment in accordance with approved procedures

• Installing Lift Ropes (traction media) and adjust in accordance with approved procedures 

• Installation of Lift Doors and Frames in accordance with approved procedures 

• Checking and Setting the Lift Installation in accordance with approved procedures 

What you bring

• Previous experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs OR installation

• NVQ Level 3 OR NFQ in Lift Maintenance/ Installation (or an equivalent qualification) 

• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience working on multi-brand equipment 

• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills 

• A full driving licence 

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high standards of efficiency 

• Confident working independently, with a flexible and proactive approach 

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, Service Leaders and Inspectors 

• Good manual dexterity, with the ability to safely use hands, arms and feet for repetitive tasks, operate hand and power tools, and complete written records
