Stores Operative

Job title: Stores Operative Location: Bassingbourn Pay Rate: £13-15ph Job type: Contract An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operative to join its Supply Chain team. This is a hands-on role focused on picking and packing, coordinating dispatch activities, maintaining an efficient stores area, and ensuring materials are available to support production and customer deliveries. The role of a Stores Operative will include: Picking, packing and issuing materials to production Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers Booking goods in and out, maintaining accurate stock records and updating ERP systems Keeping the stores area organised, ensuring stock accuracy and supporting inventory control activities Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies Supporting production requirements while ensuring compliance with quality and health & safety procedures The ideal Stores Operative should have the following skills and experience: Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment Strong picking, packing and dispatch experience Good attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach to stock control Experience using ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy operational environment Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude If you’re interested in joining this company as their Stores Operative, APPLY NOW!
