The Role

• Leading and managing the Design & Technology department across KS3, KS4, and KS5

• Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment

• Overseeing curriculum development and examination outcomes

• Supporting and mentoring departmental staff

• Managing workshops, resources, and health & safety compliance

• Contributing to whole-school leadership and enrichment initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• A degree in Design & Technology or a closely related subject

• Proven experience teaching DT at secondary level

• Previous leadership experience within a DT department

• A strong track record of raising standards and improving outcomes

• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
