Location : Stretford, Manchester, M16 0PU

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Working Hours:

* Blocks 1-4 (September - April): 18.45 hours split across 2 x morning and 2 x afternoon shifts.
* Blocks 5-6 (May - August): 11.15 hours split across 1 x morning and 1 x afternoon shift.

The Role

Join our client's brand-new gym facility as their pioneering staff member! They are seeking a passionate, creative, and flexible individual to become the driving force behind their mission to get more staff and students active. If you have the enthusiasm to work independently and innovate in your approach, they want you on their team.

Schedule:

They need someone flexible to cover shifts across 2 mornings and 2 afternoons each week, accommodating both AM and PM students, across Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday. Exact hours can be agreed with the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create a Welcoming Environment: Be the friendly face in the gym and studio, ensuring a positive experience for all users.
* Conduct Inductions: Operate an induction system for first-time gym users to help them get started confidently.
* Support Gym Users: Offer drop-in sessions to assist and motivate their gym members.
* Lead Classes: Develop and deliver small group classes, including HIIT, Pilates, and more.
* Engagement Initiatives: Develop challenges and activations across the campus to boost engagement.
* Membership Management: Liaise with reception to manage memberships and gym access.
* Collaboration: Work with other departments to promote wellbeing and coordinate activities.
* Operational Duties: Assist with future equipment orders, maintenance of equipment and the utilisation of gym space alongside the Head of Sport92.

Skills and Qualifications

* Minimum recognised Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor certification
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR/Defibrillator training (or willingness to complete)
* Experience working independently in a health and fitness environment serving a variety of clients

Desirable:

* Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification
* Additional group exercise / class qualifications
* Experience of working in a Further / Higher Education setting
