Summary

As a Finance Officer Apprentice Level 3 you’ll play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of finance operations across the organisation, giving you exposure to a broad range of financial processes, operations, and reporting.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Handling and resolving queries in a timely manner through effective communication and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain financial and accounting records including the timely collation of data
• This may include unexpected requests, due to tight timescales
• Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and provide accurate information and reports to managers as and when required
• Assist the finance team with ad hoc project work, month end and year end
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
• Build a close working relationship with the other members of the finance team and acquire a working knowledge of their roles
• Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the finance department

What you'll learn

• Deliver customer service to internal and or external stakeholders that meets their requirements, considering service level agreements, and ethical and financial regulations, such as Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, Know Your Customer (KYC), and identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.

• Use available tools and technique to research, collate, analyse, and present data relevant to their role and audience.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend solutions to improve processes.
• Apply current and developing sustainable principles and techniques relative to role.
• Participate in training and development activities related to their role, and stay up to date with relevant legal, regulatory, and other changes affecting the industry.

Essential qualifications

A Level in:

Minimum 2 A levels- not specific on subject (grade Above C)
