About the Service
Surrey's Adolescent Service are inviting creative individuals who enjoy working with adolescents (11 to 25) and their families to join the team and help make a difference to our young people's lives. We currently have a full-time opportunity based in Redhill, Surrey, primarily working across Tandridge District Council whose area's include: Caterham, Oxted, Godstone, Bletchingley, Lingfield and Dormansland.
In Surrey we are committed to our journey of continuous improvement and are ambitious in designing services which place children and their families at the centre of everything we do. We have redesigned our Adolescent Services, bringing early help and statutory services together into three locality Adolescent Hubs in the North, East and West of Surrey, with teams working in local district and boroughs in these hubs. Each team in the Adolescent Service has a Team Manager overseeing a small team of five staff. This allows managers and team members to really get to know the young people we work with and can support each other's work.
These Adolescent Hubs work with young people at risk of offending, family breakdown, homelessness, sexual and criminal exploitation and mental health support. We provide help at the point that problems emerge, preventing the need for more specialist services further down the line. We believe that the welfare of children and their families is paramount. We are enthusiastic and supportive; committed to the provision of quality services for young people and their carers. We are looking for people who share these qualities to join us and continue the good work already being done.

Working alongside Social Workers, other partner agencies and the voluntary sector, you and the team will support young people to achieve their potential and reduce the likelihood of them coming to harm, using motivational interviewing and other evidence-based approaches. This will involve both individual and group work, and co-delivering parenting groups.
You will be well supported and training will be provided to ensure competence and professional development so that you are confident in your role. We will also ensure you receive a full induction and monthly supervision.
