Year 2 Teacher

A friendly and high-achieving primary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 teacher to join a supportive school with a strong focus on delivering outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1, helping them develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition into Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 class
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and end of Key Stage 1 expectations
• Be confident using assessment to monitor progress and support pupil attainment
• Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire a love of learning
• Have high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and pupil progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Be committed to contributing to the wider school community

The role will involve:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 team and senior leaders to maintain high standards across the school
