We are working with a highly regarded Independent secondary school in the Peterborough area that is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Teacher of Design Technology to join their well-resourced department from January . This is a full-time, permanent role , offering the opportunity to teach in an environment with small class sizes, excellent facilities, and highly motivated students.

The Role

You will teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4 , with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and subject specialism. The department places a strong emphasis on practical skill development, design thinking, and real-world problem solving , allowing students to follow projects from initial concept through to final manufacture.

You will be involved in curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment , including design showcases, competitions, and cross-curricular initiatives. Specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or CAD/CAM would be particularly welcomed, though a flexible approach to teaching is valued.
