Charlton Park Academy is looking for a reflective, values-led Assistant Principal (Post-16, Preparation for Adulthood & Pathway 1) who can combine strategic thinking with disciplined day-to-day leadership. The successful candidate will understand that strong outcomes in a complex SEND setting depend on coherent provision, reliable systems, skilled staff and trusted relationships with pupils, families and partner professionals.
The role is accountable to the Principal for the leadership and organisation of three connected areas:
Post-16 provision across all pathways
Pathway 1 across all key stages
Preparation for Adulthood across the academy.
For the Quality of Education elements of the portfolio, the Assistant Principal works within the strategic framework led by the Vice Principal and is accountable to the Vice Principal for the quality of Post-16 and Pathway 1 curriculum planning and implementation. The role also collaborates closely with safeguarding, attendance, personal development, therapy and operational leaders.
