Community Nurse (Agency) - Bluestones Medical
Location: Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Trust
Duration: 1 Month (with potential extension)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Community Nurse to join services within Mersey and West Lancashire NHS Trust. This is a full-time agency position working Monday to Friday for an initial period of one month, with the potential for extension for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within community settings, supporting individuals with a range of physical and/or mental health needs while promoting independence and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities * Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients in community settings, including their own homes and clinics * Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans * Administer medications and treatments in line with NMC guidelines and local policies * Manage a defined caseload independently, prioritising workload effectively * Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changing clinical needs * Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, social services, and allied health professionals * Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records * Promote health education and self-management to support patient independence Essential Requirements * Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration * Proven experience working within a community nursing setting * Ability to work independently and manage workload without direct supervision * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle * Business car insurance is essential * Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Desirable Skills * Experience within NHS community services * Knowledge of local healthcare systems and pathways * Experience managing complex or long-term conditions What We Offer * Competitive hourly pay rates (£17.00 - £21.00) * Full-time, weekday working pattern (no weekends) * Opportunity for contract extension based on performance * Support from a dedicated recruitment consultant #GENNORTH
