Senior Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic and driven construction consultancy, supporting the delivery of a range of complex public sector projects across Healthcare & Blue Light, Higher Education and Local Government. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a variety of construction projects, managing them autonomously from outset to completion. The position offers hybrid working between Fulkers and our Client's offices, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the public sector. Please note, due to the nature of our clients, security vetting will be required. Responsibilities Manage projects of varied size and complexity, undertaking the day-to-day project activities of a Project Manager, as well as providing senior support and representation on projects where requiredSupporting other senior members of staff in project delivery and internal processesGuide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with our company set standards, procedures, and guidelinesSupport Associate Directors with resource management, fee management and reportingMaintain and support good client working relationships acting a main point of contact for queries, as necessaryUndertake reviews of lessons learnt, implementing changes for future improvementsEnsure internal systems are kept updated such as finance and resource trackers and timely sign off of invoicesSupport in the conflict resolution Internal governance such a reviews of flash reports and senior signatories on approved documentsEnsure compliance with client gateways and their governance processesUndertake the production of fee bids with the support of the Bid Team and Associate DirectorsActively involved in mentoring and training internal staff and CPD activitiesWorking collaboratively with the client and other consultantsObserve Health & Safety provision in the working environment and CDM 2015 regulations including escalating any HSE issuesEndeavour to improve our social and environmental impactRequirements This role involves working closely with a blue light client and therefore security vetting to NPPV Level 2 clearance will be required.Longstanding experience as a Project Manager within the construction industryIdeally Chartered accreditation with experience post qualificationAbility to deliver larger and more complex projects through the whole project lifecycleSupport junior members of the team with mentoring and developmentDevelopment of leadership and management skillsAbility to manage fees and assist with fee bidsGenerate new work through the management of client relationsExcellent knowledge of CDM and construction Health & SafetyBenefits Joining Fulkers means more than just joining a great team — it’s an exciting journey filled with rewarding benefits! 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), plus an extra paid day off for your birthday and Christmas shutdown Option to buy or carry over up to 5 additional holiday days annually Private health cover from day one Enhanced maternity, paternity leave Charitable volunteer day Agile working policy Annual discretionary bonus and salary review Company pension scheme Employee Assistance Program Cycle-to-work scheme Access to a wellbeing app and online learning platform Career development, chartership support and training opportunities Internal recruitment referral bonus scheme Fulkers Bailey Russell is now a Certified B Corporation, meeting high standards of social and environmental performance.
