We’re looking for an energetic and commercially minded Reservations Manager to take the lead of our busy Reservations function at the 190-bedroom Louis Fitzgerald Hotel .

About The Role

As Reservations Manager, you’ll lead and develop our team of Reservations Agents and Executives , keeping the department organised, motivated and focused on delivering results.

Working with Opera Cloud , you’ll have your finger on the pulse of our bedrooms business — managing reservations activity, monitoring demand, supporting conversion and making sure our guests receive a warm, efficient experience from their very first contact with us.

You’ll work closely with our Sales, Revenue, Front Office and Operations teams , making this a role with plenty of variety, interaction and commercial involvement.

What you'll be getting stuck into

• Leading, coaching and motivating the Reservations team
• Managing the day-to-day Reservations operation for our 190 bedrooms
• Driving enquiry conversion and encouraging the team to confidently close the sale
• Ensuring reservations, amendments, deposits, cancellations and special requests are handled accurately
• Making sure Opera Cloud is kept clean, accurate and up to date
• Monitoring booking patterns, availability and demand
• Supporting upselling and identifying opportunities to maximise bedroom revenue
• Managing group reservations, rooming lists and allocations
• Keeping an eye on response times, call handling and overall guest experience
• Working closely with Revenue and Sales on rates, promotions, groups and business opportunities
• Training and developing the team and setting clear standards
• Getting involved, solving problems and supporting the team when things get busy

Who are we looking for?

You’ll probably already have strong hotel Reservations experience and be ready to take ownership of a department — or you may already be managing a Reservations team and looking for your next challenge.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have solid hotel Reservations experience
• Have experience leading, supervising or developing a team
• Are confident using Opera Cloud
• Have a strong commercial mindset and enjoy converting enquiries into bookings
• Are organised, accurate and comfortable juggling plenty of moving parts
• Have great communication skills and enjoy working across different hotel departments
• Can motivate a team while still being willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved
• Understand that behind every booking is a guest choosing our hotel — and want to make that experience a great one from the start
