NQ to 4 Years PQE Solicitor - Debt Recovery

A leading regional law firm with a national reputation is looking for a dynamic Newly Qualified to 4 Years PQE Solicitor to join its Commercial Litigation and Debt Recovery team.


The firm is known for its practical, results-driven approach, supportive culture, and long-standing client relationships across financial services, local authorities, housing, and SME sectors.


This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied and high-quality caseload , covering contractual disputes, insolvency matters, debt recovery, finance recoveries and enforcement actions. You will work directly with clients and have the opportunity to manage matters through the full litigation lifecycle, with support from experienced senior colleagues who value development and autonomy.


The Role Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and issuing claims.
• Managing defended Fast Track and Multi-Track claims, with Multi-Track experience preferred but not essential.
• Managing debt recovery and finance recovery matters from instruction through to conclusion.
• Handling insolvency proceedings.
• Drafting applications, including applications for summary judgment and strike out.
• Drafting Part 18 requests.
• Briefing Counsel where appropriate.
• Preparing cases for trial, including trial preparation and associated documentation.
• Advising clients on recovery strategies and litigation options.
• Drafting pleadings, correspondence and other court documentation.
• Managing competing deadlines and progressing a caseload effectively.
• Working closely with senior colleagues while developing your own level of autonomy and client responsibility.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is NQ to 4 Years PQE with experience or a genuine interest in commercial/civil litigation, debt recovery or finance recovery.
• Has experience of, or exposure to, defended litigation.
• Ideally has experience managing Multi-Track claims, although this is not essential.
• Has strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Is confident dealing directly with clients, Counsel and other professional contacts.
• Has strong commercial awareness and a practical, results-driven approach.
• Can manage a varied caseload and competing deadlines effectively.
• Is keen to develop their technical expertise and take increasing responsibility for their own matters.
