The Department of STEM & Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Lecturer of Electrical Engineering to work with learners across SCQF levels 5 to 8.

You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching to a range of learners in the college. The successful candidate will have thorough working knowledge of the the principle units in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Ideally you will have experience of delivering training to others within the workplace or a training organisation. You will work with others to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies while ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. You will contribute to the development of provision and enhance students' learning by providing specialist subject support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus.

Educated to an appropriate level with previous teaching experience would be required. In addition, it would be desirable if you have significant industrial experience within the area of electrical engineering. Ideally you will also have experience in further education or adult education with a clean driving licence as the ability to work across our three campuses may be required.

Knowledge of current National Occupational Standards and qualifications in related subjects are essential. You will have recent experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills.
