We are looking for dynamic, motivated and compassionate registered nurses to join our highly specialist and internationally renowned mutli-disciplinary team. Our 36 bedded Critical Care is one of the largest and busiest in the region, with state of the art facilities, we are able to provide outstanding compassionate and holistic care to our patients. As a tertiary referral centre we look after some of the sickest patients who are referred to us for a variety of specialist services such as our ECMO (extra corporeal membrane oxygenation) service, heart and lung transplant, PCI pathway. Working in this environment is challenging and rewarding in equal amounts. Our well established programme for registered nurses will be tailored to you, combining theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for you to excel in your role. You will have access to expert clinical mentors and higher education programmes such as the Critical Care Course at degree or master's level, funded places at international conferences, Critical Care rotations and careers coaching for progression in more specialist roles. - Professional adult nursing qualification and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree level OR diploma level qualification or above
- Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
- Ability to mentor and educate junior staff.
- An understanding of safeguarding policy and procedures including Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), particularly those related to vulnerable patients.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be able to problem solve, use own initiative and plan, organise and prioritise own and others' workload.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in further training and education.
- Competent IT skills.
- As well as being able to demonstrate examples of how they work in a way that is consistent with our values of compassion, excellence and collaboration the successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate a commitment to driving culture change through equality, diversity and inclusion.
