Daily Cook/Household Assistant - Must Drive

Driving Cook / Household Assistant – Chelsea

£55,000+ DOE

Monday–Friday, 11am–8pm

We’re looking for a really capable, hands-on person to join a lovely family in Chelsea and become an important part of their busy household.  This is a great role for someone who enjoys cooking, driving, organising and generally making life easier for a busy family. It’s much more about being that extra pair of hands than being a traditional housekeeper.

There is already a housekeeper in the home, so you won’t be expected to spend your days cleaning. That said, everyone mucks in when needed, so you should be happy to help out with the odd household job when required.

The family have two children and a busy working mum, so the main aim of the role is to take care of all those day-to-day jobs that keep a household running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

Cooking is a big part of the job. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking fresh, healthy, family-friendly food and is happy to plan meals and cook from scratch.

• Roast chicken
• Ramen noodles
• Salmon poke bowls
• Homemade meatballs
• Fresh pesto and simple sauces
• Healthy family dinners
• Easy, nutritious meals for the children

You definitely don’t need to be a trained chef. We’re looking for a confident home cook who enjoys food, can follow recipes and is comfortable taking responsibility for the family’s meals.  You’ll work closely with mum on meal planning, food shopping and making sure the fridge and cupboards are always stocked with everything the family needs.

Alongside the cooking, you’ll be the person who helps keep everything moving behind the scenes.

• School runs and occasional collections/drop-offs
• Food shopping
• Running errands around London
• Taking deliveries, returns and collections
• Booking appointments
• Taking the family dog to the vet
• Organising school uniforms and PE kits
• Helping with school-related jobs
• Keeping on top of household supplies
• General household organisation
• Helping out wherever an extra pair of hands is needed

The driving side of the role is fairly light — usually just a few school runs a week — but you should be a confident London driver and comfortable driving children.

We’re looking for someone warm, proactive, energetic and organised, who enjoys working as part of a family household and doesn’t need to be micromanaged.

You’ll ideally have previous experience working for a private family, be a confident driver and, most importantly, be someone who is happy to take ownership of the cooking and all the practical bits and pieces that come with the role. .

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a busy day, loves cooking and likes being the person who makes family life that little bit easier, this could be a really lovely role.

This role would pay more than 55K for an exceptional candidate.
