About the Role
Sometimes the biggest difference isn't made at the front of the classroom-it's made by the person standing beside a child when they need support most.

Supply Desk is looking for an inspiring Learning Mentor to support pupils with additional needs, helping them develop confidence, resilience and the skills they need to achieve success in school.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism.
Assist with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
Support sensory activities and structured classroom routines.
Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
Work closely with teachers and therapists to meet individual targets.
Help maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Promote pupil wellbeing and progress throughout the school day.

Candidate Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEND or Autism is desirable.
Patient, caring and empathetic nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and adaptable.
Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
