An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established primary school in Birmingham on a full-time, permanent basis with an ASAP start.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a school site and takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children to learn. Working as part of a supportive leadership team, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the premises, ensuring the school remains fully operational, compliant, and maintained to a high standard throughout the year.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the effective operation of the school's buildings and grounds, helping to ensure a safe and positive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and securing the school site each day

• Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs

• Coordinating contractors and monitoring external works

• Completing statutory compliance checks, including Health & Safety, fire safety, asbestos, and legionella

• Maintaining accurate compliance records and site documentation

• Ensuring the school grounds and outdoor areas remain safe, tidy, and well maintained

• Preparing facilities for school events, meetings, and community use

• Reporting larger maintenance issues and supporting future improvement projects

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have excellent practical maintenance skills, strong organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to managing a busy school site. You'll be confident working independently, prioritising workloads, and ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are met.
