12-Week Temp to Perm Opportunity with a Well-Established Customer
Driver Hire are recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) LGV Driver for a temp-to-perm position based in Paddock Wood, Tonbridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional Class 2 driver looking for a permanent position. You will initially work through Driver Hire for 12 weeks , before transferring directly to the customer, subject to successfully completing the required period.
The role involves multi-drop deliveries across the South East , delivering ambient, chilled and frozen products directly to restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools and other customers.

Approximately 45 hours per week on average

Around 12 deliveries per day on average , although daily drops and hours will vary depending on volumes and operational requirements

Driving a Class 2 vehicle on planned multi-drop routes across the South East

Delivering ambient, chilled and frozen products

Predominantly cage deliveries, with some pallet and sack truck deliveries

Unloading throughout the day and delivering directly into customer premises

Please note: the 45-hour week and approximately 12 drops per day are team averages and are not guaranteed. Travel distance from site, daily volumes and operational requirements can affect the number of deliveries and hours worked. Any hours worked over 45 in the week will be paid.

What Youll Need Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

Driver CPC & D igital Tachograph Card

Safe and professional approach to driving

Good customer service and communication skills

Comfortable with regular manual handling and unloading throughout the day

Important to Know The role is physically active, with unloading required throughout the day and deliveries made directly into customer premises. While the work is predominantly cage-based, deliveries can also involve pallets and sack trucks , so drivers should be prepared for a variety of unloading requirements.
Daily drops and hours can vary depending on operational requirements, so flexibility is important.

While working for Driver Hire for the first 12 weeks, you will be paid £15-16.81 per hour.
