Gateshead College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to join our successful A Level department to deliver

A Level Law and WJEC Criminology on a 0.75 maternity cover basis .

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across A Level Law and WJEC Criminology, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and develop a passion for the subject. The role will include:

• Planning, delivering and assessing outstanding lessons
• Supporting student progress and achievement
• Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Working collaboratively within a successful and supportive A level team
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and performance

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant degree (e.g. Law, Criminology or related subject)
• Holds (or is willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification
• Has experience of teaching A Level Law and/or WJEC Criminology (desirable)
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm
• Is passionate about student success and inclusive teaching
• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
