History Teacher - Worcestershire - January 2026
A thriving 11–18 secondary school in Worcestershire is seeking an inspirational Teacher of History to join its high-performing Humanities faculty from January 2026 .
This large, inclusive school holds a Good Ofsted rating and is recognised for its strong academic progress, excellent student behaviour and vibrant enrichment culture. The History department is one of the school’s most popular faculties at both GCSE and A-Level, known for developing independent thinkers and confident communicators.
The Role
You’ll teach History across Key Stages 3–5 , contributing to curriculum design, enrichment and cross-curricular initiatives. Lessons are engaging and thought-provoking, encouraging students to explore causation, interpretation and significance in both local and global contexts.
The department embraces a wide range of teaching approaches, from historical debate and role play to digital research and inquiry-based learning , to help bring the past vividly to life. Students also take part in themed History Days, essay competitions and cultural visits to historical sites in the UK and abroad.
Facilities
The Humanities department occupies a dedicated block of bright, well-equipped classrooms with interactive displays and a shared departmental resource hub.
The school itself has recently undergone significant investment, including a modern Sixth Form centre, new sports facilities and landscaped outdoor areas that enhance the overall learning environment.

- QTS or equivalent qualification in History or related subject.
