Senior Construction Solicitor

Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer | Senior Associate 5+ PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm in their search for a Senior Associate to join their expanding Construction team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented lawyer with at least five years' post-qualification experience to take on a key role within a growing practice, working alongside a well-regarded partner and acting as their second in command. The role offers high-quality, national work with flexible hybrid working arrangements. The Role As a Senior Associate in the Construction team, you will:

• Advise on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters for both public and private sector clients, including developers, contractors, housing associations, and government bodies.
• Act as a lead advisor on development projects, regeneration schemes, infrastructure delivery, and decarbonisation initiatives.
• Support with procurement strategies, contract structuring, and project risk management.
• Work closely with real estate, corporate, and banking teams on major transactions involving construction-related due diligence.
• Take an active role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law, ideally from a national or respected regional firm.
• Experience with JCT and NEC contracts and a strong understanding of the development lifecycle.
• A collaborative, commercial approach with the ability to deliver practical, solution-focused advice.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards client service and relationship management.
• A genuine interest in growing their career within a highly regarded national team.
